To download a flyer click here Registrations are via the website only This is a 3-hour course designed to show you how to install, set up and use the Storymaker and Flashcards programmes. It has been written by New Zealand parents of a student with Down syndrome and autism. They are computer experts.Their company, Geddes Productions is based in Dunedin where they live. This programme is widely used in New Zealand and the USA. Increasing numbers of schools and families are using it in Australia. Why is it so helpful? The programme is a step-up from PowerPoint enabling the use of voice and text to be written by the adult or student. It is very easy to use , print off and copy to the school/home computers. This supports the families in being able to share with school what has been happening in their lives and vice versa. It is an effective tool in teaching desired behaviours, sequence of activities, routine as well as for information, teaching and enjoyment of books. It is particularly helpful for developing comprehension of text that students with Down syndrome find particlularly difficult. It would most beneficial if you could bring the following to the course on the day. Please indicate this in the comment box when you make your purchase. When Buying online...
