Literacy Curriculum and Assessment for Students with Complex and Multiple Inter-related Learning Needs

This document is intended to support schools in the setting of effective targets to provide focus, direction and pace for special needs students working towards and within level one of the National English Curriculum.

Collated by a group of educators from Special Schools in Auckland, this document has been developed in response to a need to have an appropriate curriculum for those students with complex and multiple interrelated learning needs working towards or within level one of the National English Curriculum. Information from overseas has been gathered and reviewed and a document written that reflects the special nature of bicultural New Zealand. Literacy and Maori advisors from Team Solutions have been consulted. It is appropriate for students of all ages, having a range of special sensory and physical impairments and communication difficulties.

NB: The library resources are available for ADSA library members to borrow. Unfortunately we do not sell direct to the general public.
