Sarah's Christmas

Enjoy the magic of Christmas through Sarah's eyes in her drawings and words. Sarah who has Down syndrome has written and illustrated this beautiful book using her two passions, drawing and Christmas.

Share the magic, the joy, the wonder and the excitement of Sarah's Christmas. This bubbly young woman has two huge passions in her life - drawing and Christmas. Sarah began by drawing her favourite cartoon characters, she then moved on to drawing portraits from photographs, interpreting them into her own unique abstract style. Her medium is black felt pen and oil pastel; she confidently draws the outlines then colours with pastels. Sarah's two passions are combined in this truly delightful book. Her eye for detail combined with her own personal memories are reflected in her touchingly innocent drawings and text. Sarah is very proud of her work and rightfully describes herself as 'a champion artist', a little that should now be changed to 'champion artist and author'!

NB: The library resources are available for ADSA library members to borrow. Unfortunately we do not sell direct to the general public.
