The HOMEWORK Book

This HOMEWORK book is used by therapists to assign daily exercises for parents and children to complete together. To be used in conjunction with Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson's manual Oral-Motor Exercises for Speech Clarity.

This book is designed to be used in conjunction with Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson's book titled; Oral-Motor Exercises For Speech Clarity. Sara's book is a teaching manual that describes for the therapist why and how to teach the oral-motor exercises to improve speech clarity. The HOMEWORK Book pages instruct the parents/care-givers what exercises to do for homework. This can be an extremely effective carryover program from therapy session to home as the child learns that the goals are important at home as well as at the therapy session. It is critical that you read Sara's book first so that you understand why and how each exercise works. Please take the time to understand why each exercise is important and in a specific hierarchy, rather than just using the pages in The HOMEWORK Book intermittently. The final outcome of speech clarity cannot be achieved unless the program is understood and implemented in the correct sequence.

NB: The library resources are available for ADSA library members to borrow. Unfortunately we do not sell direct to the general public.
