M.O.R.E - Integrating the Mouth with Sensory and Postural Functions Second Edition
This book illuminates the relationship between oral motor mechanisms and the sensorimotor and behavioral aspects of human function.
Through years of clinical experience the principle author, Ms Oetter, has developed a model for understanding how and why many aspects of human development are significantly influenced by oral functions and, more specifically, the suck/swallow/breathe synchrony. This book provides a theoretical framework supporting the clinically observed associations between oral/motor/respiratory dysfunction and many sensory intergrative and sensorimotor problems. This new edition of the book offers even more guidance to therapists on treatment strategies to bring about improvements in sensory processing, self-regulation, postural control, and motor, language and social development through use of oral/motor activity.
NB: The library resources are available for ADSA library members to borrow. Unfortunately we do not sell direct to the general public.
