Tell someone is a DVD for people with a learning or intellectual disability in residential homes. It helps people learn more about their rights and how to get help when things go wrong.
Tell Someone is a DVD that was produced in 2010 by Health & Disability Advocacy. There are 5 chapters with different stories, all acted by people with a learning disability. To help people think about and discuss their own experiences the DVD stops and questions are asked. It is best to watch only one chapter at a time. Some stories are easier to follow than others. Choose the chapter suitable for the people watching. The section on abuse has subtitles. They can be turned on and off with the remote whilst playing, using the subtitles button. The first clip is about this DVD. Subsequent chapters are about Staff, Choices, Abuse, Advocacy and Problems.
NB: The library resources are available for ADSA library members to borrow. Unfortunately we do not sell direct to the general public.
