 Education courses

All parents are welcome to attend the courses for teachers. More...

We know that starting to educate our children early is hugely beneficial. Downsed in the UK has lead the way. See the video below for a glimpse of their centre and meet Sue Buckley and Lord Wedgwood who have worked so well in showing us all a better way for our children.

There are more videos- just scroll down.

We are so pleased to be offering these parent courses- at varying days of the week, months and times to support as many families as possible. The course content has been largely learned through Downsed's input and parents' experiences through the years.

We know that children with Down syndrome make great learners.  They learn by seeing and experiencing their world around around them with structured and multi-sensory programmes and teaching techniques that make learning fun and effective.

The annual Buddy Walk raises funds for our education programme. We can provide families with programmes at a very low cost or none at all on a loan basis and training. Our lending library is due to open in September.

Come see the resources on September 14
